Patterns in Nature
Abstract art is commonly mistaken as representing nothing. However, abstract art is often informed by normal everyday things, in this case, patterns in nature. So, for this project we'd like you to become an abstract artist.

Project
Take a moment to observe the shapes, lines and patterns that exist around you. You might notice cracks in rocks, different shaped leaves, trees and all of the spaces in between. You might even notice manmade patterns in the landscape such as fields, roads or houses dotted across the landscape. Now, take your pencil out and begin to draw the lines and patterns you see in your sketch pad. Then, use your crayons to fill the shapes you've made with all the colours you have in your art pack.
